Pakistan pacer Wahab Riaz announced his retirement from international cricket on August 16, ending a 15-year illustrious career.

Wahab to play franchise cricket

The 38-year-old left-arm seamer, who played in 91 ODIs, 36 T20Is, and 27 Tests, will continue in franchise cricket and serve as caretaker Sports Minister of Punjab province.

Wahab expressed his excitement for the new chapter in franchise cricket, where he aims to entertain and inspire audiences.

Wahab finishes with 237 international wickets

Despite inconsistency and fitness issues, Wahab took 237 wickets across all formats and featured in three ICC Cricket World Cups.

His memorable spells  

Wahab's memorable spells include the ferocious attack against Australia in the 2015 World Cup quarter-final and his only ODI five-wicket haul during the 2011 World Cup semi-final against India.
