won silver and France’s Vanessa Gusmeroli took bronze.

At the 1997 championships,

She also became
the youngest champion in Olympic history in 1998,

at the age of 15 years and 255 days.

Now 39 years old,
Lipinski continues to hold the world’s youngest title.

After trying her
hand in films and TV, Lipinski now works as a broadcaster.
