Green replaces Inglis in Australia's squad

Green included in Australia’s T20 squad

Australia's wicket-keeper batter Josh Inglis has been ruled out of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2022. In-form all-rounder Cameron Green has been named his replacement.

Injury

Inglis suffered a freak injury while playing golf in Sydney on Wednesday (October 19). He sustained a cut on his right hand and was subsequently taken to the hospital.

T20I career

Green, who debuted in T20Is earlier this year, has played seven games so far. He has scored 136 runs at an average and a strike rate of 19.42 and 174.35, respectively (50s: 2).

Will Green make the Playing XI?

"If Green [Cameron] was considered in the starting XI, he would have been in the 15," Andrew McDonald, Australia's head coach, told reporters.
