Starc eyes 300 wicket mark

Milestone

Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc is set to complete 300 wickets in Test cricket. The left-armer could attain this feat in the upcoming two-match Test series against West Indies, starting November 30.

Career

In a career spanning over a decade, Starc has taken 287 wickets from 71 Tests at an average of 27.62. The tally includes 13 five-wicket hauls.

Starc will join an elite list!

Starc will become the seventh Aussie bowler with 300 wickets in the format. Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath, Nathan Lyon, Dennis Lillee, Mitchell Johnson, and Brett Lee are the others.

Lillee, Warne, McGrath, Johnson, Lee, and Nathan Lyon got to 300 Test wickets in 56, 63, 64, 69, 73, and 77 matches, respectively. Starc can break Lyon's record in the upcoming Test series.
