SL's Nishan Madushka slams double-ton

Double-century vs Ireland

Sri Lanka's Nishan Madushka makes history by becoming the first batter to score a double-century against Ireland in the second Test.

Double-century stand

Madushka brought up his ton with a six of Harry Tector's bowling, off 159 balls. He was finally dismissed for 205 (339) by Andy McBrine.

Maiden double-ton achieved

Madushka became the second SL batter to convert his maiden Test ton into a double-ton. Overall, he became SL's 13th double-centurion. Standing in just his third Test, Madushka has 292 runs at 73.00.

Madushka goes past Karunaratne

Madushka scored the highest individual score against Ireland, displacing his skipper Dimuth Karunaratne, with seven out of eight Test tons recorded in this series.

Drawing to a close

Ireland posted 492 after electing to bat first against Sri Lanka in the second Test. The game is heading towards a draw with Sri Lanka making a strong response with the top three scoring centuries.
