Shreyas Iyer made a record-breaking century on his Test debut against New Zealand in Kanpur. He has 666 runs in 10 Test matches at an average of 44.40.

Iyer's back issues have forced him out of a major part of IPL, leaving KKR without their key batsman and a leader. Earlier this week, Nitish Rana took over as captain.
