Pele managed 12 goals for Brazil at the FIFA World Cup, which is the second-highest tally after Ronaldo (15). Pele scored in four World Cups and shares the record with Uwe Seeler and Miroslav Klose.
Pele's only World Cup hat-trick was recorded in the 1958 edition. He is still the youngest to record a WC hat-trick. It came in a crunch semi-final fixture against France as Brazil won 5-2.
Pele holds the record for the most assists in the WC (10). He managed three assists in the WC final (1 - 1958, 2 - 1970). He owns the joint-most assists alongside Messi in FIFA WC knockouts (6).
Pele was adjudged FIFA World Cup Best Young Player and FIFA World Cup Silver Ball in the 1958 edition. He made six goals in that edition. He won the FIFA World Cup Golden Ball in the 1970 edition.
