Historic win

New Zealand defeated England by one run in the second and final Test to level the series 1-1. This was just the fourth instance of a team winning after being enforced a follow-on.

Edge of victory!

This was just the second instance of a team winning a Test by one run. West Indies defeated Australia by the same margin in the 1993 Adelaide Test.

700 wickets for Southee

Root and Brook scored 95 and 186 respectively in ENG's first innings. Williamson scored 132 in NZ's second innings. Southee completed 700 international wickets.

Fifties, fifer for Leach

Tom Latham, Devon Conway, Daryl Mitchell and Tom Blundell scored fifties in NZ's second innings. Jack Leach claimed 5/157 in NZ's second innings.
