Kylian Mbappe has been named the new captain of the France national football team, replacing Hugo Lloris who retired earlier this year. Antoine Griezmann has been appointed the vice-captain.

At the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, Mbappe scored 8 goals (highest), besides providing two assists. He won the Golden Boot award, besides the Silver Ball.
