The BCCI has retired MS Dhoni's iconic number seven jersey, honoring his contribution to Indian cricket.

The retirement of his jersey means no other Indian player will be able to don the number seven jersey in international cricket.

Dhoni played over 500 matches for Indi

Dhoni, known as the greatest finisher of all time, played 350 ODIs, 98 T20Is, and 90 Tests for the Indian cricket team.

Captaincy triumph

Under his captaincy, India won the first-ever ICC World T20 in 2007, the ODI World Cup in 2011, and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013.

Retirement in 2020 

Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket in August 2020 but continues to lead Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL.

Feats with CSK 

Dhoni, arguably the greatest captain in the IPL, led CSK to 128 wins in 212 matches (lost 82). He remains the only captain to have won over 100 matches for a franchise in the cash-rich league.
