By Gaurav Tripathi

1

23 runs in Hyderabad Test

Shubman Gill's poor run in Test cricket continues as he could only manage 23 off 66 balls in India's first innings of the ongoing opening Test against England in Hyderabad.

2

Massive drought for Gill

Gill has not breached the 50-run mark in whites since his 128 against Australia in the Ahmedabad Test last year. He has now gone 10 Test innings without a 50-plus score.

3

Struggles outside Asia

While Gill played several impressive knocks in his debut Test series in Australia in 2020-21, he has struggled in Tests away from Asia ever since.

4

Plummeting Test average

With just one 50-plus score in his last 15 Test innings, Gill's overall Test average has dropped to 30.37.

5

First-Class success

His overall red-ball record is sensational as he owns 3,605 First-Class runs, averaging 48-plus.
