Warner registers his 19th ODI ton

David Warner has slammed his 19th century in ODI cricket (102-ball 106). The dashing opener reached the three-figure mark during the 3rd ODI against England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Feat

Warner has equaled Sri Lanka's Mahela Jayawardene and West Indies' Brian Lara in terms of ODI tons. He now has the joint-second-most international tons among active cricketers, with Joe Root (44).

Partnership

Warner and Travis Head (152) fetched a colossal 269-run stand for the opening wicket. As per ESPNcricinfo, it's the highest opening partnership in ODIs at MCG.

Career

Warner marked his debut against South Africa in 2009. He has since clobbered 6,007 runs across 141 matches, averaging a phenomenal 45.16. He has slammed 27 fifties and 19 hundreds (HS: 179).
