Babar Azam scored his eighth T20 century, leading Peshawar Zalmi to a score of 240/2 in the PSL match against Quetta Gladiators.

Babar enters record books

Babar now has the joint-second-most T20 centuries, only behind Chris Gayle. Despite his maiden PSL century, Peshawar Zalmi lost the match.

A record-breaking match

Peshawar scored 240/2 in 20 overs with Babar Azam's 115 and Saim Ayub's 74, but Jason Roy's unbeaten 145 helped Quetta Gladiators chase the target in 18.2 overs.

Babar's T20 record

Babar is the second-highest run-scorer for Pakistan in the T20 format after Shoaib Malik, with 8,892 runs from 252 matches and an average of 43.80.

An epic run-chase

The Gladiators achieved the highest successful run-chase in PSL history by scoring 241, making it the fourth-highest successful run-chase in T20 history.

A record partnership

Babar and Ayub's partnership of 162 runs for the first wicket is the second-highest in PSL history, behind Sharjeel Khan and Babar's 176 for Karachi Kings against Islamabad United in 2021.
