WhatsApp releases chat transfer feature

WhatsApp's latest iOS update (version 23.14.79) introduces a new chat transfer feature, allowing users to move their account and data to a new iPhone without using iCloud.

Transfer chats

You can access the 'Transfer Chats to iPhone' feature from the 'Settings' section. Follow the in-app instructions to transfer your data to the new iPhone.

The new functionality saves you from the hassle of buying additional iCloud storage in case you have exhausted the free 5GB limit.

The latest iOS update also introduces landscape mode for video calls, which allows you to see more participants on the call screen.
