Edit messages feature

WhatsApp might soon bring in a feature to edit messages. Recent reports by WABetaInfo, suggest that the new feature might be inching closer to launch.

Testing

The edit message feature has been spotted testing on the Android beta channel which means it could soon be introduced on the stable app.

Feature

Users will be allowed to edit sent messages within a 15-minute window. The modified messages will have an 'edited' tag in the message bubble.

Information

However, we do not know yet if other messages, apart from texts, can be modified. It is also unclear how many times users will be allowed to edit messages.

WhatsApp could make more improvements to the edit messages feature before it is released on the stable channel.
