WhatsApp for iOS introduces new feature

Feature

WhatsApp has launched a new iOS update, version 23.24.73, which allows users to send media files in their original quality, without compression.

To use this feature, open the chat share sheet, tap 'Document,' and select 'Choose Photo or Video.'

Workarounds

Previously, sending uncompressed media required changing file extensions to PDF or DOC. The new feature now eliminates that process.

Other improvements

The update also introduces other improvements like starting voice chats without ringing everyone in large groups and reacting to status updates using avatars.
