Message forwarding feature

WhatsApp is introducing a message-forwarding feature for Channels, allowing users to share content with other chats.

Feature

Forwarded messages will carry the Channel's link, which can help Channel creators grow their audience.

Process

The message forwarding process within Channels is similar to regular WhatsApp chats, with recipients able to easily join Channels of interest.

Availability

Currently available to select users who've installed the latest WhatsApp updates for iOS and Android, the feature will roll out to more users soon.

Enhancements

WhatsApp plans to create "a searchable directory" where users can find Channels related to their hobbies and interests.
