Skywatchers can look forward to three celestial events this week, including the first lunar eclipse of the year and the Eta Aquarids meteor shower.
2
Meteor shower
The Eta Aquarids meteor shower, which is known for its speed, will peak on May 4-5. During the peak, you will be able to see up to 40 meteors per hour.
3
Celestial spectacle
Experts predict that there will be a meteor "outburst," which means we might be able to see twice as many meteors this year.
4
Full Moon
The Moon will be seen at its fullest on May 5. The upcoming full moon is also called the Flower Moon or Corn Moon.
5
Lunar eclipse
We will also get to see the first lunar eclipse of the year on May 5. Fortunately, it will be visible in India, provided the skies are clear.
