Unlike Elon Musk's X which added an edit button just last year and then locked it behind a paywall, Threads' edit feature is free of cost.

However, Threads does not display edit history of a post, raising concerns about misuse and lack of transparency, whereas on X, users can see the edit history.

Voice Threads launched
Meta also introduced 'Voice Threads,' a feature that lets users create audio posts. The platform then autogenerates captions for the audio clip, which users can edit as needed.

Upcoming 'Trends' feature
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is also reportedly gearing up to launch a "Trends" feature for his Threads app, similar to that of X's.
