First test flight
Touted to be the world's most powerful rocket, Starship faced multiple issues during its first-ever flight in April, which resulted in the rocket exploding.
3
Investigation
Following the mishap, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) conducted an investigation. The agency identified 63 corrective actions that SpaceX must make.
4
Corrective measures
Musk revealed that 57 of those corrective measures were completed. He stated that six of the 63 items refer to later flights.
5
Upcoming test flight
The upcoming second test flight will attempt to send the Starship's upper stage halfway around Earth, with a splashdown in the Pacific Ocean near Hawaii.
6
Launch
Musk previously said Starship's second flight could take place as soon as the FAA grants the launch license. However, that approval is still pending and no launch date has been announced.
