SpaceX-NASA Crew-6 mission lifts off

Crew-6 launches to ISS

SpaceX and NASA's Crew-6 mission has successfully launched to the ISS. The Crew Dragon capsule Endeavor lifted off atop a Falcon 9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center.

Meet the crew members

The four-membered crew includes two NASA astronauts, Warren Hoburg and Stephen Bowen; Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev, and UAE astronaut Sultan Alneyadi.

Space experiments

The crew will conduct several experiments ranging from heart tissue-related studies to investigations on combustion systems. They will also collect microbial samples outside the ISS.

Aborted launch attempt

The previous launch attempt on February 27 was aborted due to a ground systems issue. A problem arose with the chemical that would ignite the rocket's engine.

Members

Currently aboard the ISS are seven astronauts, including Nicole Aunapu Mann, Josh Cassada, Francisco Rubio, Anna Kikina, Sergey Prokopyev, Dmitry Petelin, and Koichi Wakata.
