Sony's VR Preview

At the ongoing CES 2024, Sony has previewed a VR headset similar to Apple Vision Pro. It is called a 'spatial content creation system.'

Featuring a head-mounted display and controllers for 3D object interaction, the setup aims to assist creators in advanced 3D content production.

OLED microdisplays

The device boasts large OLED microdisplays with 4K resolution and a wide color gamut covering up to 96% of DCI-P3 standard.

Lifelike rendering

The system includes intuitive controllers and is powered by Qualcomm's latest XR processor. It allows for real-time, lifelike rendering of 3D object textures.

Siemens partnership

Initially, Sony will partner exclusively with Siemens to bring immersive engineering capabilities to the manufacturing industry.
