Origin

Orionids is the second meteor shower to be linked with Halley's Comet. The first is the Eta Aquariids which peaks in May.

4

Radiant

The radiant, or the point in the sky where the Orionids' meteors appear to originate, is located near the constellation Orion. However, do note meteors will be visible all over the sky.

Viewing tips

To witness the Orionids, find a dark location with minimal light pollution. This year, the Moon's phase will not obstruct your viewing of the meteors.
