Spatial video update

Meta's Quest 3 now supports spatial video playback via its v62 software update, competing with Apple's Vision Pro headset.

Mobile app uploads

Users can upload spatial videos through the Meta Quest mobile app, which are then converted for playback and saved in the cloud.

Gamepad & gesture support

The update also enables external gamepad support and single-gesture quick actions for controller-free navigation. Content creators can live stream within apps on Facebook and YouTube.

Compatibility limitations

Spatial video playback is also available on Quest 2 and Quest Pro, but not the original Meta Quest.
