Meet the astronauts of Artemis 2 mission

Exploring the Moon

Artemis 2, the first crewed mission under NASA's Artemis program, will include the first woman and the first person of color. Four astronauts have been selected for the lunar expedition.

Lunar mission

Artemis 2 will test Orion spacecraft’s life-support systems and deep space exploration techniques. The mission is expected to take off in November 2024.

Making history together

The crew includes three NASA astronauts: Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Hammock Koch, and one from the Canadian Space Agency (CSA), Jeremy Hansen.

Christina Koch

Astronaut Koch, who holds the record for the single longest spaceflight by a woman, will go to space for the second time on Artemis 2.

Jeremy Hansen

Hansen, a former fighter pilot with the Royal Canadian Air Force, will become the first Canadian to go on a lunar mission with Artemis 2.
