ISRO is gearing up for its upcoming PSLV-C55 mission. The space agency is reportedly aiming to launch the mission on April 22.

Mission

The PSLV-C55 will be the first rocket to be integrated at the new PSLV Integration Facility (PIF) and is said to carry a Singaporean satellite.

Latest developments

According to the latest developments, the first and second stages of the rocket have been integrated and transferred to the First Launch Pad (FLP).

Previous approach

During previous PSLV missions, the entire space vehicle was integrated at the FLP with the help of the Mobile Service Tower (MST).

Boost launch frequency

ISRO is following a new approach that would allow the partial integration of PSLV vehicles even if the FLP has been occupied, which could boost the launch frequency.
