iOS 17.2: Top features coming to iPhones

Apple's upcoming iOS 17.2 update, set to release in December, will bring several new features.

Journal app

The update will introduce the Journal app, featuring automatic dating, bookmarking, and journaling prompts based on user data.

Enhanced music playlists

iPhone users will be able to create collaborative music playlists with friends and family and there will be a Favorites Music Playlist within Apple Music.

Weather updates

Detailed weather updates and daily forecasts will be displayed on the home screen, while the News app will support 'Live Activities.'

iMessage security boost

iMessage security is set to improve with 'Contact Key Verification,' which will display a code to ensure users are communicating with the intended recipient.

Memoji customizations

Users will be able to react to messages with stickers, instead of just emojis. There will also be new customization options for Memoji.
