Google Slides is introducing a live pointer feature, allowing users to see each other's mouse pointers in real time, thereby enhancing collaboration.
2
Easy tracking
The live pointer enlarges the arrow icon and assigns unique colors and floating names to users for easy tracking.
3
Visibility
Live pointers will be visible across all slides until users choose to disable the option. This feature could come in handy during walkthroughs when the document is still being worked on.
4
Access
The live pointer icon can be found at the right end of the toolbar and can be enabled via View>Live pointers>Show my pointer. The feature is disabled by default.
5
Hiding pointers
Users can also hide the live pointers of other collaborators by clicking View> Live pointers>Show collaborator pointers.
6
Access
This feature will be available for both Workspace users and personal Google accounts in the coming weeks.
