Address Descriptors, an India-first feature, will display relevant landmarks and area names around pinned addresses. It will be offered in over 75 cities.

Launching in January, Lens in Maps will use AI and augmented reality to provide information, like opening hours and ratings, for restaurants and cafes.

Fuel-efficient routing will be available in January for both four-wheelers and two-wheelers. The feature aims to help reduce fuel consumption and limit carbon emissions.

Live View walking navigation will shows arrows, directions, and distance markers on the Maps screen to help users navigate more easily.

Namma Yatri
Google has partnered with India's ONDC and Namma Yatri to offer metro schedules and bookings directly through Google Maps, starting with Kochi Metro by mid-2024.
