Smart chips in docs

Google now allows users to embed third-party 'smart chips' into Docs, letting people view third-party app data inside the document.

2

How-to

Google Workspace users can now use 'smart chips' by installing an add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace and pasting a share link into a document.

3

Admins and users

Admins can use third-party smart chips only if enabled by developers. Users must ensure the admin has installed or allowed add-ons for third-party apps.

4

Preview the project

Developers determine how chips are implemented. Hover over a link to see the preview image of a project along with who created it.

5

Availability

The ability to embed third-party 'smart chips' is now available to all Google Workspace customers and individuals with personal Google accounts.
