Boeing delays Starliner launch yet again

Boeing has postponed the launch of the first-ever crewed Starliner flight due to major safety issues. Starliner was supposed to take two astronauts to the ISS in July.

Boeing is one of two private companies selected by NASA to fly crewed missions to and from the ISS through the agency's Commercial Crew Program.

Issues

The firm found issues with the Starliner's wiring and parachute system after in-depth investigations which were carried out last week.

Launch attempt

If Boeing resolves the safety issues in the coming months, the company may undertake another launch attempt by year-end.

Crew Flight Test

Two NASA astronauts, Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, will be a part of Starliner's first crewed flight, which is called Crew Flight Test.
