Beeper Mini returns but with a catch

Beeper Mini

Beeper Mini, the iMessage app for Android, is back after Apple's ban. The app now requires users to sign in with an Apple ID.

iMessages

The app currently only supports iMessages sent to and from Apple iCloud email addresses. Beeper is working on bringing back phone number registration.

Access

Beeper Mini is free for now as against its $2/month subscription fee that was in place before Apple's ban.

Privacy

Beeper Mini connects to iMessage through Apple's push notification service without compromising encryption or privacy.

Transparency

To prove the app is safe, Beeper is willing to share Beeper Mini's entire codebase with a third-party security research firm for analysis.
