Android 14 brings a smarter UI system

Google has released the first public beta version of Android 14. The new update includes a smarter UI system, improved graphics, a new back arrow, and more.

Transparent navigation bar

The update adds a transparent navigation bar feature, which allows users to change the color of the bottom navigation bar to transparent, per XDA Developers.

Smarter UI upgrades

As part of the smarter UI system, the back arrow has been made more prominent and apps will be allowed to add custom actions to the share sheet menu.

Personalization features

Android 14 beta update introduces personalization features like per-app language preferences and improved privacy options. There are new graphic features as well.

Android 14 beta extends

Google is expected to add more features to Android 14 in the upcoming beta builds. The stable build is expected to be released to compatible devices by August.
