World's first 3D-printed rocket

Relativity Space's 3D-printed rocket, Terran 1, is set to launch on March 11. It will be the world's first 3D-printed rocket to go to space.

2

Milestone

Terran 1 is the first-ever rocket to be built primarily via 3D printing, which is considered a major milestone for the space sector.

3

Terran 1

Terran 1 is a 110-foot-tall rocket built to launch small satellites into low-Earth orbit (LEO), with 85% of its structure being 3D-printed.

4

Payload capacity

The rocket can carry payloads of up to 1,250 kilograms to the low-Earth orbit (LEO) and 900 kilograms to the sun-synchronous orbit.

5

Fuel

The rocket uses methane as a propellant, which is considered to be a more efficient and higher-performing rocket fuel than conventional fuel options like kerosene.
