Motivation

Remind yourself what you will gain if you stop smoking. It can be good health, saving money, or anything that motivates you.

Seek professional help

Seek a doctor’s advice as you will likely experience withdrawal symptoms after quitting.

Limit your triggers

Notice what makes you light a cigarette and try to limit those instances. E.g., if you smoke while drinking tea or alcohol, limit that intake.

Nicotine replacement

To avoid side effects after you quit smoking, try out nicotine gum and patches. These can curb cravings, headaches, mood swings, etc.

Stay clean

Clean out anything around you that looks or smells like cigarettes/ash, including your clothes, your car, drapes, etc.
