Skin problems during monsoon

By Rishabh Raj

1

Skin rashes

Pollen grains burst during monsoon and release allergens, which can trigger skin issues like atopic dermatitis or hives. Keep indoor plants away and regularly clean and vacuum the house.

2

Eczema

The change from hot to humid weather can impact the skin's ability to retain moisture, leading to eczema. To prevent skin irritation, wear breathable and comfortable clothing.

3

Scabies

Scabies is a water-related disease caused by tiny parasitic mites and causes severe itching and discomfort. Wash all linens and clothes using antiseptic agents.

4

Athlete's foot

Athlete's foot is a common monsoon infection caused by wet socks and shoes. Use antifungal powders and wash your feet well to prevent it from spreading.

5

Ringworm

Ringworm infections cause circular, red patches on the soles of feet, armpits, or neck. Wear clean, loose clothes and use dermatologist-approved anti-fungal creams to alleviate discomfort.
