Gastrointestinal issues

Overindulging in pistachios can cause gastrointestinal issues like diarrhea, stomach pain, bloating, and gas due to their high fiber and carbohydrate content.

Weight gain

Consuming excessive amounts may also lead to sudden weight gain, as 100 grams of pistachios contain around 560 calories.

Blood pressure

The high salt content in roasted pistachios can cause elevated blood pressure, increasing the risk of heart disease.

Kidney disease

People with kidney diseases should be cautious, as the high potassium content in pistachios can negatively impact kidney function.
