The Andaman Islands' rainforests house numerous rare and endangered species, with an average annual rainfall of 2000 mm.

Western Ghats

The Western Ghats, spanning 30,000 sq km, contain moist deciduous forests and over 1100 native animal species.

Assam 

Assam's dense rainforests feature low-lying hills and year-round forest cover with its traces present in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.

Odisha

Odisha's evergreen forests, originating from the Gondwana region, host large vertebrates like tigers, elephants, and gaur.
