Inspired by Persian bread, sheermal is a sweetened naan that is prepared with flour, milk, sugar, ghee, and lots of saffron. These are stuffed with dry fruits and are crisp in texture.
Kulfi falooda
Kulfi is basically a frozen dessert prepared with lots of milk, nuts, and sugar, while falooda is similar to vermicelli. You can try kesar pista, chocolate, and pan kulfis.
Galouti kebabs
According to legend, these were invented for Nawab Asad-ud-Daula who lost all his teeth but couldn't give up his love for kebabs. The original kebabs were made using over 160 spices.
Biryani
Lucknow's biryani is very different from the biryani in other states as its rice and meat are cooked separately. The biryani has a beautiful aroma with subtle flavors.
Kakori kebabs
A well-known Lucknowi dish, Kakori kebabs are made with minced lamb or mutton grilled with Indian seasonings. Interestingly, raw mangoes are used to soften the Kakori kebabs.
