Identify the reason behind your need for a social media detox to stay focused on overcoming the problem.

Start with a few hours or one day off each week without announcing it online, and practice self-control by setting specific time slots for social media use.

Create a timetable or to-do list with activities like meditation, reading, journaling, and exercising to fill the void time.

Replace phone habits

Replace phone usage in the washroom or before bed with a book or magazine to limit exposure to social media.

Turn off notifications and temporarily uninstall social media apps during your break, seeking support from family and friends to stay committed.
