Cow's milk can be hard for an infant to digest. Cow's milk also doesn't have all the nutrients, such as iron and vitamin E, a baby needs to grow and develop during its initial years.
Sugary items
Keep sugary treats off the menu until at least the baby's first birthday. Don't feed honey, it can cause infant botulism. Keep chocolates away too. Instead, go for naturally sweet bananas.
Fruit juice
Fruit juices can cut down your baby's appetite for breast milk. Too much juice can also cause tooth decay, diarrhea, and other chronic tummy troubles.
Refined grains
Refined grains like white rice are not good for your infant's heart. Instead, feed them whole grains, which are rich in fiber that keeps blood sugar steady.
Foods that are choking hazards
They can get stuck in their airways. Avoid giving babies whole nuts, large seeds, hard-dried fruits, whole grapes, and peas. Instead, give them chopped and peeled grapes and smashed peas.
