Foods that trigger acne breakouts

Chocolate

A study featuring acne-prone men found out that those who ate 25 gm of dark chocolate every day, experienced a 25% increase in their acne in just two weeks.

Whey protein 

Whey protein powder may also cause acne due to its amino acids generating high insulin levels.

Skim milk

Skim milk, containing bovine growth hormones, can worsen acne, making alternatives like almond or coconut milk more preferable.

Processed carbs

Processed carbohydrates, such as white bread and pasta, can cause skin damage and acne breakouts.

Bananas

Surprisingly, bananas have a high glycemic index, leading to increased insulin production and acne inflammation.
