Weeds, like other plants, need sunlight and air to grow. You can stop their growth by laying down several sheets of newspapers on weeds. The weeds will die eventually.
2
Vinegar
Pour vinegar into a spray bottle and target the weeds directly. Be careful not to spray on other plants you want to keep. Vinegar kills the roots, so aim carefully for the best results.
3
Corn gluten meal
Sprinkle it on your soil to stop new weeds from forming. Remember, it won't remove existing weeds. It only prevents the germination of new weed plants.
4
Salt
You can use salt to mess with a weed's roots and disrupt its water balance. Spray a diluted solution of 1:2 salt to water. If that doesn't work, make a stronger solution.
5
Hand weeding
If nothing else works, you can simply pull out each weed in your garden. However, hand weeding requires time and may strain your back due to repeated bending.
