Reasons why ‘Adipurush’ might have been postponed

Intro

'Adipurush' is fronted by Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Kriti Sanon. Ever since its announcement, it has been in the news since it's touted as a "retelling of Ramayana for today's generation."

Reason 1

The Om Raut film is mounted on a Rs. 500cr budget, owing to its VFX/CGI cost. Ironically, this aspect was criticized the most in the teaser. Possibly, the makers need time to rework on this.

Reason 2

Another aspect that upset fans was the characters' looks, mainly Ali Khan, who is playing demon king Ravana. Netizens opined that he looked more like a "Mughal invader" and less like Lankesh.

Reason 3

On January 12, 2023, multiple movies are releasing, like Vijay's 'Varisu,' Akhil Akkineni-Mammootty's 'Agent,' Chiranjeevi's 'Waltair Veerayya.' So, makers might have avoided a major clash.
