Urvashi Rautela chops off her hair to support Iran women

‘Female solidarity’

Rautela posted an image of her hair being chopped off and mentioned she did it for Iran's Mahsa Amini and Uttarakhand's Ankita Bhandari, both of whom were allegedly “killed.”

‘Backstory’

Following her arrest, Amini (22) died on September 16, allegedly due to police brutality. Bhandari (19) was allegedly murdered by an ex-BJP leader's son Pulkit Arya and his two accomplices.

“Chopped my hair in support of Iranian women and girls who have been killed in protests after Amini’s arrest by Iranian morality police and for Ankita Bhandari from Uttarakhand,” she wrote.

Previously, PC had lent her support to the ongoing movement and wrote on Instagram, “The voices that speak after ages of forced silence will rightfully burst like a volcano.”
