An assistant music director

Keeravani, who gained worldwide popularity with 'Naatu Naatu', started his musical journey as an assistant music director in 1987.

Musician's big break

He got his first break in 1990 with the movie 'Manasu Mamatha' but gained fame through Ram Gopal Verma's 'Kshana Kshanam' in 1991.

Debut in Hindi cinema

After 'Kshana Kshanam', he debuted in Hindi cinema with Criminal (1994) and composed popular songs for films such as 'Jism' and 'Paheli'.

Drawing inspiration

Keeravani, at the Oscars speech, revealed being inspired by Indian composer Ilaiyaraaja, Pakistani music maestro Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and American composer John Williams.

Award-winning composer

Music composer Keeravani has won multiple awards throughout his career, including an Oscar, a Golden Globe, a National Film Award, 11 Nandi Awards, and eight Filmfare Awards.
