'TKS': Sudipto Sen reacts to Kamal Haasan

Intro

Amidst 'The Kerala Story's success, a section of viewers and celebrities have criticized the drama. Recently, Kamal Haasan called it a "propaganda film." Now, director Sudipto Sen has reacted to Haasan.

Sen's reaction

Sen told 'HT,' "I don't react to such statements. Those who didn't see it are criticizing it. There are stupid stereotypes in our country....they don't know life exists in grey."

Defense

He further defended his film by saying that it has been liked in 37 countries and he has stopped explaining to people who are bashing it without watching it.

Haasan's critique

Haasan had questioned the film's claim that it is based on a true story and said that "merely the logo at the bottom" does not make it true.
