'Titanic' actor Lew Palter dies at 94

Lew Palter no more

Lew Palter, the veteran actor who played Isidor Straus in 'Titanic', passed away at the age of 94 due to lung cancer. He died on May 21 in Los Angeles, confirmed his daughter.

Palter started his career in theater

Palter, who started his career at CalArts School of Theater in 1971, retired in 2012 but continued to conduct acting workshops.

Other prominent roles

Palter, known for his role in 'Titanic', was also famous for films such as 'First Monday in October,' 'Hill Street Blues,' 'The Flying Nun,' and 'L.A. Law.'

CalArts School of Theater mourned the death of Palter, calling him a beloved acting teacher who was known for fostering curiosity and care in his students.
