'The Hunger Games's live adaptation

Intro

Suzanne Collins's best-selling novel, 'The Hunger Games,' is set to debut as a live stage adaptation in London next year, 'Variety' reported.

Details

The first book in Collins's series has been adapted for the theater by Olivier Award-winning playwright Conor McPherson. The production will be directed by Matthew Dunster.

Storyline

Set in dystopian Panem, the story follows Katniss Everdeen, who becomes a symbol of resistance after volunteering for the deadly Hunger Games.

About 'The Hunger Games' film adaptation

Collins adapted the first novel for the big screen. The cast for the film included Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth.

'The Hunger Games' prequel in works

Collins wrote a prequel titled 'The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes' in 2020. This prequel has been adapted into a film slated for a November 17 release.
