Shows that got canceled due to strikes

Due to limited viewership, OTT platforms and TV networks planned to downsize before the Hollywood strike, resulting in many shows being canceled.

'The Idol'

HBO's 'The Idol,' created by Sam Levinson, Abel "The Weeknd" Tesfaye, and Reza Fahim, was canceled after poor reviews and one season.

'How I Met Your Father'

Hulu's 'How I Met Your Father' was taken off air in July 2023 after two seasons, leaving fans disappointed.

'A League of Their Own'

'A League of Their Own,' a sports comedy-drama series, was scrapped during the strike before a second season could be produced.

'The Great,' an alternate historical comedy-drama series on Hulu, was canceled in August 2023 after its third season.

'A Black Lady Sketch Show'

Lastly, HBO's 'A Black Lady Sketch Show' was canceled in July 2023 after its fourth season, featuring an all-Black women cast and notable guest stars.
